DAY 6: TOTAL BODY CARE IS ARM CARE

Your body doesn’t work in isolation. Sure you will likely see a lot of isolation exercises (bicep curls, tricep extensions, leg press, etc) but you’re a human being who has human movement patterns produced by a human body.

Your body is one piece.

Answer me this. Where does your body start? Where does it end?

There isn’t an answer because it is all connected & it is connected by something called “fascia”.

Fascia is basically this connective tissue that surrounds all of our muscles and helps the body to move smoothly.

You got introduced to fascia training through the ground based warmup routine.

My colleague Dr. Ismael Gallo created a company called “Baseball Flows”. He shared with me a Baseball Flows Starter Kit that covers all the basics of “flows training”. Be sure to check out the link.

You can get a feel of what it is all about by going to www.BaseballFlows.com

Below is an intro video of one of the different programs inside of Baseball Flows. You’ll look at movement and baseball in an entirely new way after seeing this.

The other piece of “total body care is arm care” is your throwing mechanics. Now, that’s a very deep subject and is very personalized but the main point is using your whole body to throw, not just your arm.

Below is a video with several athletic throwing drills to help you better use your legs & lower half when you throw to help save your arm.
